If you have a child in preschool or kindergarten you are going to love this free printable handwriting worksheet for the letter A. It is great for letting the kids practice their handwriting while mixing in some coloring fun to the effort!

I created this to use with my elementary aged kids, as I think that handwriting is an important part of education, but kids spend less time than ever with a pencil to paper. When the kids start to get a little sloppy in their school work, we like to take it back to basics, to remind them to slow down and write the letters correctly. They are more than happy to do this because they love to color the apple on the printable and they like that they get to refresh on some spelling words in the process!
