Ways you can have a special Valentines day and be parents at the same time.

I am a mom of three beautiful children. Although I love being a mommy I have to remember that I was a wife first. Valentine’s day is nearing and our budget is really tight. We just moved to this area and I haven’t found someone who I trusted enough to babysit. I spent the past few days trying to think of ways that we can still have a special night and be parents at the same time.

Here is what I came up with:

  1. Fix a picnic in front of the T.V.
  2. Play a little music and dance!
  3. Rent a movie and have some snacks.
  4. Have a candle light dinner.
  5. Play some board games.
  6. Take a walk around the block together.
  7. Write love notes and hide them where your spouse can find them.
  8. Call in sick and spend a day together.
  9. Get up early so you can have some alone time before the kids wake up. (Suggested By: Amanda
  10. Go star-gazing together.
These are only ten ways out of many. Get creative and think hard I am sure you can find a special way to spend some little time together and not have to pay a babysitter.

I would love to hear from you: What are some ways you get alone time together?
