Strawberry Sauce Recipe
Making homemade strawberry sauce is very easy and it turns out delicious. It is great to top on ice-cream or just us it as Jam on toast. I can think of a number of other ways to use it too! Like as a topping on waffles or pancakes, or to add a little yum to strawberry shortcake!
You will need:
2 cups of strawberries
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp of lemon juice
2 tsp of fruit pectin
1 tbs of butter

In a large bowl use a potato masher to mash-up your strawberries. On a medium heat use a large skillet melt butter and add powdered fruit pectin. Add strawberries and let boil for one minute.

Add sugar and continue cooking for 4 minutes stirring continuously. Sauce will be come thick and strawberries will be soft. Pour the mix into a container and store in the refrigerator in an air tight container for up to 3 weeks.
Have you ever made any kind of homemade fruit sauce? I would love to hear what flavors you have whipped up! And what you enjoyed your sauce on. I think a bowl of ice cream is the way to start, but this is also awesome on pancakes and waffles!
What a great sauce, we would really enjoy this recipe. Thanks so much for sharing your post with Full Plate Thursday and have a great day!
