Review: Zondervan/Zonderkids Books
This is a sponsored post. As with all the products I blog about, I use them personally and opinions are my own, I was not influenced in any way by the compensation I received.
Books are my best friend! I only wish I had more time that I could read. My kids love reading just as me. My youngest is constantly caring around books and “reading”. She’s not even two, so she don’t actually read but you get the point! She loves books! I love books because the encourage and certain form of imagination and most are educational. If you have spent some time on my blog you know I am all about stuff that’s educational!! Recently I had a chance to review three great books by Zondervan and Zonderkids.
About Wonderfully Made:
“Wonderfully Made revisits the spirited world of Everyday Zoo with its familiar cast of quirky characters – Hayley and Harley Hippo, Boyd the Giraffe and Pouch the Pelican – as they prepare for the local talent show. While the zoo is abuzz before the big event, Hayley Hippo still hasn’t identified her talent. She can neither fly, nor ice skate, nor sing. Poor Hayley begins to fret that maybe God forgot to give her a talent!”
My Thoughts:
My daughter is four and she is always trying to do things that her big brother can do. However sometimes she just can’t. This book was perfect for teaching her that it’s okay that she can’t do things that others can do. It’s a perfect book for teaching children that everyone is different and special in their own way.
About My Learn to Read Bible:
“Unique to this genre, MY LEARN TO READ BIBLE incorporates the New International Reader’s Version (NIrV) of the Bible with the rebus method of teaching – a popular learning technique using special symbols in place of words to help children expand their vocabulary and acquire more confidence in their reading. The book includes a glossary introducing 50 iconic Biblical images found in the text—such as an angel, a baby, a cross—and simple terms from everyday life-like tree and bread.”
My Thoughts:
I really love this book! My husband and I are always telling our children the different bible stories. However with this bible they can read it themselves. Even my four-year old can read a few sentences on their own. This is possible because every few words there is an image that represents the words. The images not only make it easy for them to read but also enjoyable and easy for them to follow the story. It’s a perfect way to encourage them to read on their own and enjoy these great stories!
About Always Daddy’s Princess:
“Written for readers aged four to seven, ALWAYS DADDY’S PRINCESS captures the journey of a father and daughter in a poignant story of the girl’s growth from childhood to motherhood.”
My Thoughts:
My daughter is convinced this book is written for her. She’s all about the princess stuff!! My husband has read this book over and over per request of Zoey O. She is constantly saying “I am your Princess Daddy!” I think it’s perfect book to give every little girl and daddy a chance to relate to each other and have a special bonding moment!
