Review: Peter Pan Live

About Peter Pan Live!:

Fly into adventure as NBC presents a bold new production of the classic Broadway musical that has delighted audiences for generations. Filmed and broadcast live from New York, this wondrous adaptation of the original Broadway musical tells the beloved story of Peter Pan (Allison Williams, HBO’s Girls), a mischievous boy who ran away to have adventures in Neverland and never grow up! This family classic from the producers of Chicago, Hairspray, and Footloose features Academy Award Winner Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and unforgettable songs including “I’m Flying,” “I Won’t Grow Up,” and “Never Never Land” that will have everyone singing along for years to come!

My Thoughts:

I loved Peter Pan Live. It brought me back to my childhood. It wasn’t perfect but  I am glad because it’s suppose to be live and no show live is perfect, and thus I felt it was filled with a joy that the actors actually seemed to be feeling while in their performances. They enjoyed it and it showed! The music and voices were wonderful. My favorite was Ms Williams. I liked that Mr Walken let some of his quirkiness and personality shine in his performance. It’s hard to explain the feeling you get when you see your kids enjoying something that you have loved when you were little. I remember hearing the songs as a child. It is another classic I will enjoy with family for years!
