Reading Horizons – Help Your Children Learn to Read

 I am a firm believer that one of my jobs as a mom is to teach them. However sometimes I just don’t know where to start. My son started Kindergarten this year and his teacher has told me that he struggled a little bit with reading. I myself struggled with reading growing up, so I was completely at a lost on how to help him. Which as a mom that didn’t feel good. I was searching the web and found Reading Horizons. The below was provided to me to help facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and honest. I am disclosing this in accordance to FTC Guidelines.

Reading Horizons is a complete reading system.  It has everything you may need to help your children learn how to read. It’s not just for educators  but it’s also good for parents. It doesn’t matter if you home school or if you are just a mom like me that wants to give your child a  little push in the right way. They provided a teacher guide and several other services (webinars/online workshops) that helps you learn the proper way to teach your children how to read. The game plan behind Reading Horizons is : the 42 sounds of the alphabet, 5 phonetic skills, and 2 decoding skill.  I personally was shocked with how easy it was for me to pick up and use this system. In a matter of two weeks of working an hour a day on reading, my son’s teacher commented to me how she has seen improvement in his reading skills!  I was so impressed with how easy it is to use and for him to pick up on that I started using it on my four year old daughter!
