My days are busy. From sun up to a few hours after sun down, I am packing lunches, picking up messes, changing diapers, checking homework, answering the phone, folding laundry… then I realize I haven’t even thought about cooking. There are times that the entire family ends up with “kid food” for dinner. When was the last time you dined on cuisine like frozen chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs or macaroni & cheese that tastes like the box it came in? Kid food is easy to cook but not so easy to eat usually. My family had the chance to try Mom Made Foods, Mid-Atlantic’s first USDA-organic certified producer of frozen foods for children.
About Mom Made Foods:
Mom Made Foods was born after Mom-preneur, Heather Stouffer, learned how challenging it was to prepare family dinners from scratch every night, and that sometimes it wasn’t possible at all. As a result, she created Mom Made Foods because she believes in convenient meals that do not sacrifice quality or nutrition, and that kids should be able to eat delicious foods without added junk. Inspired by kids and the familiar recipes they love, we use only the freshest quality ingredients, such as organic products and meats raised without antibiotics, all sourced in the USA. The line today includes entrees, meatballs and bites, and munchies.
My Thoughts:
I liked that the ingredients were organic and healthier than most other kid food. I liked the meals are packed with fiber and vegetables and they tasted good too. We tried chicken sausage munchie. The girls liked the chicken munchie and said it was “Yummy!” My son and I tried the turkey sausage munchie. I was surprised by how good he turkey sausage munchie was. It had a good flavor and was a nice change from your average kid food.
