In this movie the Maya and her hive have had a slow harvest season and now their survival is threatened. Maya and Willy end up going to Buzztropolis to participate in the Honey Games. If they lose their hive will have to give up all their summer Honey to the Empress. The team they have isn’t enthusiastic about competing in the games nor are they very athletic. It is so fun to watch as Maya tries to tell them that every bug has a talent. I love watching with movie with the kids because it teaches that not everyone is smart or athletic or crafty or a leader but we all have our own talents that we are good at and that is what makes us stand out. I also love how you see the teamwork in this movie from bees of all different talents, it shows that if you put your mind to it and work together then things could end up being just fine.

Kids seem to really love this movie, my daughter and her friends had a movie night the other night and ended up watching this one together. It also makes a great family movie complete with popcorn and a comfy spot on the couch.
