Make Your Own Fossils For Kids

This is a sponsored post.  As with all the products I blog about, I use them personally and opinions are my own, I was not influenced in any way by the compensation I received.

I have always said Bryson is going to be a scientist when he grows up. He loves stars, space, dinosaurs, and just trying to figure out how things work. That’s why I was pretty excited when Lakeshore gave me a chance to try out their Fossil Discoveries Dino Lab. It was a perfect way to make your own fossils for kids.

About Fossil Discoveries Dino Lab:

Everything young scientists need to create cool Dino fossils! Kids choose from 10 lifelike dinosaur skeletons to mold in air-dry clay—then paint, label & study their creations! 10 skeletons come with 10 fossil nameplates, air-dry clay, a paintbrush and paint block. Longest skeleton measures 3 3/4″.

My Thoughts:

This was beyond perfect for Bryson. It had everything you would need to make your own fossils. It even had brown paint to make the fossils stick out in the mold. It also had name plates that you can stick on the mold to identify the fossil. Having to match the name plates to the right fossils was just what he needed. He loves learning new things and there were some dinosaur miniatures that he didn’t know. Because of that he had to do some research to find out what they were. It  was a hands on activity which is another thing that Bryson needed. He’s not one to learn from books. He would rather have his hands on stuff. He is pretty excited to take his fossils to school to show his teacher and class mates.
