Hallmark’s Get Carded Challenge

This is a sponsored post. As with all the products I blog about, I use them personally and opinions are my own, I was not influenced in any way by the compensation I received.

No matter how much we rely upon technology to keep in touch with our friends and family, few things compare with the feeling of receiving an unexpected card and handwritten note in the mail. It doesn’t have to be a message in the bottle or lengthy love letter – it can be a simple “hello,” “I miss you” or “remember when…” What matters is you – the giver of a surprise delivery! This is why  Hallmark is excited to bring back the Get Carded Challenge – a fun challenge designed to help you connect and reconnect with loved ones, whether it’s a friend, old college roommate, neighbor, colleague, parent, sibling, significant other or your children.

The Mission:

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to send seven cards in seven days to seven people who are important to you!

How I Did:

The mission wasn’t that hard for me to complete. I live three hours from all my family members and jumped at a chance to send them a nice little note. A note simply to say that I was thinking of them. I sent one to my parents, grandparents, niece, and to a couple of family friends. They all were very excited and thankful to get their card. I think cards are a great way to just say, “I am thinking of you.” I am 29 (getting old) and personally I love getting cards!

When was the last time you sent or got a card?

  1. I would send a card to my Aunt in Calif. I do not get to see her. Last time was 10 years ago.

  2. I would send a card to my sister-in-law who just remarried (my brother died in a car accident) but I don’t have her new address. I really liked her husband when I met him, and I’d like to know that she’s doing OK.

  3. Just realized it said 7 people, so here’s my list:
    1. grandma
    2. mom and dad
    3. sister
    4. nieces and nephews
    5. best friend
    6. co worker
    7. my husband 🙂

  4. I send cards to all my friends and family for birthdays and some holidays. We have some sick family members, so I try to send cards when I can.
