It wasn’t until recently that I started using a dishwasher. I am a mom of three little ones, so needless to say I was pretty excited to have a dishwasher. My first thought was now doing the dishes wouldn’t take as long. Well I was wrong. My dishwasher wasn’t getting them as cleaned as they needed to be. This caused me to pre-washed them before I put them in the dishwasher. I just thought that is how it worked with dish washers, but boy was I wrong!! I was recently given the opportunity to have a little cooking party to show others what I learned and all because of Cascades. To sum it up for you guys…. Cascade not only provides superior clean for your dishes, but you don’t have to pre-wash!

So I decided to invite some of my friends (my family lives three hours away) over for a taste of comfort foods, which included The Pioneer Woman‘s Mac N’ Cheese.  I made my favorite Duncan Hines brownies.  For the challenge I was told to make the night before and leave the pan so my guests could see that Cascade Platinum delivers ultimate clean for dishes, even 24-hour stuck-on food!

A good challenge is when you try it on a few different items. Okay moms…let’s think. What’s the one thing that you hate washing and honestly feel that you can never get clean enough? For me it was my infants bottles. Now, I no longer have an infant, but I had one of my party attendees try it out with her bottles. She was very impressed with how clean it got the bottles!!  I can honestly say that my friend and I are both sold on Cascade. There is no turning back now.

Follow these tips for loading your dishwasher  with  success:

  • Stack your dishes high and low but please be sure that bulky items DO NOT block the sprayer.
  • Place tall dishes and pans in the back of the bottom rack so they DO NOT block the detergent chamber.
  • Place glasses and other fragile items in the top rack. This helps keep them from the powerful sprayer under the bottom rack.
  • Set glasses between tines on the rack NOT over them as wet contact points can cause spots.
  • Thread any long utensils through coffee-mug handles to help keep them secure in the wash.
  • Check  to  ensure  that  there  aren’t  any  stray  utensils  that  will  block  the  nozzle  or   sprayer.
  • And a special call out for any big dishes: load them on the bottom rack, face down so the water is sure to reach all the nooks and crannies.

  1. I really don’t like cleaning this one pot we use for spaghetti sauce. It always gets things stuck really good on it. I also don’t like cleaning the dishes we put parmesan cheese in. That stuff is so hard to get out! And forks with parmesan? A nightmare!
