I have three children, two of which are girls. As many moms do, I want to pass down as much as possible to my little girls. Especially the joy and excitement I got from watching a classic, my favorite movie, The Little Mermaid. Recently my oldest daughter got sent home from school. She had a stomach ache. What better way to make a little one feel better than cuddling on the coach on watching a good movie. While my youngest was napping we did just that.

My Thoughts:

I remember watching The Little Mermaid when I was younger. So it was nice to be able to share that experience with my daughters. It’s funny though because what I like about it is completely different from what she liked about it. As a mom, the first thing I noticed was the lesson that was to be learned in the movie. The lesson is you have to follow your dreams. For my daughter it was the music. She just feel in love with it. Half way into the movie she started trying to sing along to the movie. You can tell she was feeling better. Even though The Little Mermaid is a classic and has been around for many years it’s still just as fun and exciting to watch as it was when it first came out!

As of October 1, 2013 Disney released a DVD/Blu-Ray Diamond Edition of The Little Mermaid. So now you have a chance to watch this classic with your little ones!
