Children can learn French with Whistlefritz

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have a soon to be second grader and kindergartner, plus a three-year old. Teaching them a second language never crossed my mine. I worried about teaching them English! Truth be told though it’s probably best to introduce a second language at their age because their brains are like a sponge! Whistlefritz, the award-winning producer of Spanish for Kids, has just released a new music CD and DVD French for Kids!

About Dedans et Dehors (Inside and Out) DVD:

Fritzi’s in the house! But où est Fritzi? Finding the mischievous mouse Fritzi is just part of the fun in this lively award-winning language learning program from Whistlefritz. Welcome to Fritzi’s house, where up or down, inside or out, there are lots to learn and plenty to do. Explore every area of Fritzi’s house, from la chambre (the bedroom) and la salle de bain (the bathroom) tole salon (the living room) and la cuisine (the kitchen). An engaging interactive format teaches children greetings, parts of the house, positional words, food, daily activities, numbers, and more. But that’s not all! Nous allons chanter et danser! (We’re going to sing and dance!) Dedans et Dehors is an engaging blend of colorful backgrounds, charming animation and live-action that kids will want to revisit again and again. The DVD teaches French using the immersion teaching method recommended by language acquisition experts. (For more information about immersion, please watch the Language Immersion video on the company’s website.) The DVD includes an easy-to-use translation guide for parents and teachers, as well as French subtitles for adult learners.

My Thoughts:

I wish they would have had this when I was younger. I didn’t even dabble in learning a different language until I was in high school. It was so hard for me to pick up on. In fact it was the only subject that I truly hated. However learning a different language doesn’t have to be hard. It can be fun. Whistlefritz realized that and came out with this great set. It was catchy and enjoyable for the kids to listen to and watch! They enjoyed it and want to watch more of it. I predict by the end of the summer my oldest will be able to say something in French.
