If you are a Ball Canning lover like myself or maybe you are a complete novice, this is the perfect time for you to connect online and in person with renowned chef and Bravo’s Top Chef Judge – Hugh Acheson at Brooklyn Borough Hall Farmer’s Market.

Chef Acheson and other experts will be on hand to perform canning demos of home canning recipes and answer viewer questions. Throughout the country, 25 farmer’s markets will be hosting Can-It Forward Day celebrations! In addition to canning demos, you can also check out crafting, and herb gardening demos, as well as check out Ball’s new drink-ware line!

The highlight of the day will surely be when International Can-It Forward Day guests attempt the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Mason Jar Mosaic!

  1. I have never tried to can before but i used to watch my grandma can things. i would make pickles or strawberry jam.

  2. I would be somewhere between novice and experienced. I have done some canning but not as much as I have wanted to do.

  3. I am a confident novice canner. I love to can peaches and jams. But would love to learn to do tomatoes.

  4. I am a novice canner, I usually can tomato juice and I have already canned some green beans this summer.

  5. I am a novice. I have canned applesauce and apple pie jam. And I have done some dill pickles. But not much else! I would try my hand at homemade pasta sauce first if I won!
