5 Fun Things to Do in Indianapolis This Weekend
Halloween is almost here and the next weekend in Indianapolis is going to see a bunch of shows, events, and gigs with that theme in mind. If you happen to be in town for the coming weekend and hopefully Halloween as well, here are some of the top fun places to be at.
Naptown Revival 2
On October 27 (Saturday), the Naptown Revival is coming back again this year on 1001 Hosbrook Street to open a second chapter for the music festival. Be there between 4 PM – 9 PM to experience awesome music because the Naptown Revival 2 is expected to only feature the best musicians in town this year.
A Darkly Humorous Evening with Stephen Vincent Giles
There has already been a similar event on October 21 (last Sunday), but in case you missed it, now is your chance to catch up to it this coming Sunday, on October 28. There will be dramatic recitations of poems and literature, shadow puppet shows, dancing, music and a whole lot of fun at the White Rabbit Cabaret from 7 PM to 9 PM this Sunday. If you are a fan of classic, macabre entertainment, this could be a fun place to be at just before Halloween.
Breakout Games: Indianapolis
Unquestionably one of the most fun and thrilling experiences you can have this weekend – or on any weekend for that matter – would be in an Indianapolis escape room. The idea is that you choose your adventure from a long list of scenarios, which include a runaway train, a run-down motel, a mysterious mansion, and a creepy museum among many others. After that, you and your friends will have to break out of the dangerous situation by solving puzzles, clues, and codes, before the 60-minute timer runs out.
Fall Mini Sessions
This is a beautiful exhibition of nature at its best during the fall by Jim and Jessika Feltz; each session will last for 30-minutes and will only allow ten people at a time. You will be able to see and even download high-resolution prints of the photos on display if you like something. The photo exhibition will be open from 10 AM – 5 PM at the Indianapolis Art Center, on the 28th of October, Sunday.
Enuff Z’Nuff, Jack Russell’s Great White, and BulletBoys
Get in the Egyptian Room, Old National Centre this Saturday before the clock strikes 8 PM because all three of the bands are going to perform there on the same night. If you had plans to chill with some awesome music this Saturday, this would pretty much be the place to be at, alongside 2,000 others.
Given that Halloween is coming up in a week’s time, there are plenty of other gigs, exhibitions, and shows going on in the city too during the weekend. Just about every club you hit in the coming days will likely have a horror theme going on there, so feel free to try a few of them out after the concerts and shows break.
