5 Fall Cleaning Tips
Fall is quickly approaching us. It’s time to whip out your list for fall cleaning and get to work. These five fall cleaning tips will help you start cleaning so your home is prepped for winter. Ready, set, clean!
#1. Get Several Brooms
I have found that getting organized for fall might require a lot of sweeping. So many leaves come in the house at various times, so I like to keep several brooms handy. These brooms allow me to do a quick sweep, no matter where I’m at in the house.
#2. Treat Fall Like Spring
Everyone thinks that you can only get rid of items in the spring, but you can also get rid of items in the fall. Now is the time to clear out old items and get rid of clutter. Organization doesn’t have a season, it should be something you’re continuously doing.
#3. Ask for Help
The more people you have helping you clean, the less time it will take. Don’t be afraid to delegate chores to other members of the family or outsource to other people. One chore that is perfect to outsource is gutter cleaning, and you can use Gutter Cleaning Troy to help. Create a list and check off items as you go. There is no right or wrong way to clean during those fall months, so just get to it.
#4. Get Out the Winter Items
It’s never too early to start prepping for winter. Since you know the cold weather is coming anyways, go ahead and try to get ahead. You can get out the winter items like blankets, winter clothing, and even winter boots. I’m telling you, you’re wise to go ahead and make this transition while you’re already cleaning your home during the fall months.
#5. Dusting
The summer months seem to bring about a lot of dust. Take the time to do a lot of dusting during your fall cleaning spree. You’ll want to take items off the wall and make sure they are dusted as well. Make a list of the things you have already dusted, so you’re not doubling the work for yourself.
As you can see, doing your fall cleaning is just as important as spring cleaning. If you don’t feel like doing a good fall cleaning you can always check out Simplymaid. You can learn more about Simplymaid by visiting their site. What tips would you add to this list?

Great tips! I had never thought about having multiple brooms but that totally makes sense! Because what do I do…walk all over the house recovering the broom a bunch of times, lol!

I actually like Fall cleaning better… For me, in SC the hot weather keeps the house all shut up from using the A/C all summer, so I love opening the windows and feeling the cool fall air.
Do we have to do fall cleaning too? 🙂 I haven’t even finished my spring cleaning! 🙂 I better get a move-on…
