In addition, you can try creating a birthday banner by finding letters that spell ‘Happy Birthday.’ You can then use ribbon to connect them together and hang it on the wall. There’s also the option of customizing your plates and cups using stones, glitter, and any other items you can think of. However, if you happen to be doing a themed party, it may be better to better to get cheap party supplies from a reliable supplier.

Crowd-Pleasers

Seeing as children are often zooming up and down, it is sometimes best to fill the party with snacks as opposed to three-course entrees. There are so many that you could actually take the time out to make yourself that are both relatively quick and easy to do. For one, a crowd-pleaser the kids may love is pizza. You should also think about trying baked macaroni and cheese cupcakes and sausage pizza cones. Remember, if possible, to ask parents whether or not their kids have any food allergies to avoid any emergencies. You can make the party food even more exciting by having themed plates and cups, and having place settings, for example. Having a mix of food to cater for any vegetarians is something else to consider. Try and find out any dietary requirements long before the day of the party.

Gift Bags

Another important addition to every kid’s party worth doing yourself is party bags. Depending on how many kids you’re inviting, this may take a little bit of time, but it will save you far more than buying them ready-made. Some common items to use inside of party bags include pencils, stickers, notebooks, bubbles, temporary tattoos, affordable books, or a toothbrush. Also, try comparing prices before buying them and see whether it’s worth buying them in bulk as you may get a discount. Another great thing about party bags is that you can do it with the kids which make for great quality time together.

Another way to use DIY when planning a party is by taking care of entertainment on your own. There are so many ways that kids can be entertained that don’t always require you calling in a professional.
