This post was written as part of a partnership with Nokia, however all of the thoughts and opinions are mine.

When I was younger I remembered my dad being called “Mr. Gadget.” He loved technology and had to have all the newest gadgets. I have to admit I have the same addiction; I love technology. As a blogger it’s pretty important too. There have been plenty of times when I needed my laptop for one reason or another when I was on the road, but didn’t have it. Even though it’s meant to travel it’s still bulky and not good for day trips. That’s what I love about my Windows Phone.

My Thoughts:

To say that I am in love with this phone is an understatement. It’s everything I need in one little small device that fits in my pocket! It’s a bloggers dream (At least this one)! I have had the phone just under a month and I can’t count how many times it has come in handy when I was on the road. There are so many great features that I can’t pick a favorite. However, I have to say the camera is pretty nice!! As a mom and a blogger I always need a good camera on hand, but don’t like to carry around another item. We moms carry plenty around already!! This camera is the best camera I have seen on a phone. My personal camera doesn’t even have as many megapixels or take as high resolution photos as this phone.

The quality of pictures this phone can produce amazes me. It truly captures the moment, which is extremely important for me as a mom. There are many moments that we will never get back. I also love the fact that it has a front and a back camera. It makes capturing these moments a lot easier!

Taken with the phone.

When I am on the road I am able to do many things and keep up with my work. With the office application I can write my posts or work on my charts. I also can keep up with my emails, which sometimes can be pretty overwhelming to come back to if I am away for a day. So that’s pretty helpful! Not only is it perfect for me, but it comes in pretty handy with my kids as well. Last week I had to take my husband to the ER. My oldest two were in school, but my youngest wasn’t so she had to come with me. I used the Netflix application to keep her entertained and happy. It worked wonderfully!! These are just a couple of the apps that I love, but there are so many great apps! It’s because of this that Nokia has come up with App Social.

windows phone About App Social:

App Social (formerly App Highlights) offers an exciting way to discover great apps exclusively for your Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 device. Browse a wide array of curated collections, create your own app lists, have the community follow your collections, and rise to the top of the leaderboard!

It’s pretty neat isn’t it? I have barely scratched the surface of stuff you can do with this phone. It comes with several applications, but you can also download several more (free or at a fee). With App Social you can keep track of all the apps in one place. You can make three times of lists: Apps used daily, wish list Apps, and lastly Apps I love. I am working on the list of Apps I love. Because there are several Apps that you don’t need to use daily but are very useful. In my case I would more than likely forget the Apps name and probably wouldn’t use it again even if I loved it because of that. However it’s all in one spot so I won’t forget and don’t have to hunt it down! Perfect for busy moms! It also has a spotlight and featured area. These are great for learning about new Apps. I have tried a few that I probably wouldn’t have tried if it wasn’t for them being on those lists.  It has everything you need to stay organized, have a little fun, capture many special moments, and to stay in touch with everyone.

Lastly, I have to ask you:  what kind of App’s do you think would be on your list of favorites?

I tried out the Windows phone when it first came out… I’m a total iPhone girl, but really did love so many things about this one! The only reason I switched back to the iPhone was because there was a serious lack of apps available at that time… But now that I’m seeing more and more have Windows apps, I’m totally thinking about switching back. I have the older version of this phone, can’t remember which one? But I do know that it’s hot pink – and that alone makes it awesome, lol.

And I agree – even my older version of the Windows Nokia took ROCKIN’ pictures!! 🙂
