This is a sponsored post. As with all the products I blog about, I use them personally and opinions are my own, I was not influenced in any way by the compensation I received.
A couple Christmas ago my mother in law got me a sewing machine. I think it’s the neatest thing in the world. I was constantly making blankets and pillows. I wanted to do more, but unsure where to start. That’s when I learned about the Fashion and Style Classes by Skillshare.
About Skillshare (Manifesto):Education is what someone tells you to do. Learning is what you do for yourself: Our mission is simple. Reunite learning with education and make it accessible to every single person on this planet. Anyone can learn anything, at any age, at an affordable cost, anywhere in the world. Learn by Doing: Proof of learning is in progress and action. Now, a piece of paper is just that, and your creations are your accomplishments. Learn new skills that are transferable, adaptable, and applicable in the world today. Everyone is a Teacher: You can learn from anyone – which means we’re all teachers. The best way to confirm your understanding of something is to share it with someone else. We all have things we’re passionate about sharing with the world. Learning Can Happen Anywhere: Forget desks and projectors. Walls? Never mind them. Teach in a park, at the library, on a boat…and, ok, even in your kitchen. Share your skills online to thousands of students across the globe. Learning can happen online, offline, and everywhere in between. We Can Change Education: Learning and teaching are essential to keep the world spinning. All of our progress is dependent on it. This cycle turns magical when a student becomes a teacher. If we all share our knowledge and skills with each other, it becomes an endless cycle of awesomeness, and the world becomes a much better place.
One of the best things about the Skillshare Fashion and Style classes was that they had some for every level. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner like me or if you are a fashion and style expert. It also doesn’t matter if you are a mom who just wants to make some clothes for her daughters (again like me) or if you are someone who wants to make a career out of fashion and style. They offer such a wide range of classes that will help anyone move forward in the fashion and style field. They teach you how to make a design, how to create it, and lastly how to promote it. Because promoting it is equally important in success as to making the item. There classes doesn’t just stop at making clothes, but hey also have make up classes and photographer and head shot classes. I have never been great at putting on make up so I would love to take the class “Ready For Red Carpet: Makeup Skills and Evening Looks. The best part is at Skillshare the classes don’t stop at Fashion and Style. They have many others. What would you like to expend your education on?
