Finding Time For Fitness

As a mother of four beautiful children, I often find it hard to make the time for fitness.  Riding bikes is something that my three older children love to do, so one day as I was watching them ride their bikes in the driveway a light bulb went off in my head.  I could exercise while spending time with my family!  It was then that I began to look into bikes that I could ride comfortably.  I found my perfect fit then found a small trailer I could pull behind my bike so my baby could ride along!  It is completely enclosed to hide him from the elements.

Finding Time For Fitness

While I would by no stretch of the imagination call myself a cycling enthusiast, I have found a new joy in riding bikes with my family.  Even my husband has gotten in on the fun!  I can’t tell you how happy it makes my children even to take a simple ride to the post office.  Since we began biking together, I have noticed that I feel better and have more energy.  I am so thankful that I decided to begin this adventure with my family.  I have felt supported by my husband and children which has led to be getting into better shape and even losing some weight!

I would suggest to any woman or mother out there to get into cycling even if it is only occasionally.  You will feel better about yourself for getting out there and doing something.  I have even found myself going for rides early in the morning on weekends when my husband and children are still sleeping.  It gives me time to clear my head and be alone with my thoughts while doing great things for my body.  Give it a try…I know you’ll love it as much as I do!
