When you’re a mother, there are a million and one things to do. If you fall ill, those million and one things become three million and three things. You need to stay fit and healthy to make sure that everyone else in the household stays fit and healthy. It’s the same when a troop of soldiers loses their captain – if no-one else steps up the plate you have a lost troop of soldiers on your hands. So, how do you make sure you stay healthy to get everything done?
Being a mother, a cook, a cleaner and everything else, the idea of doing exercise may not be appealing. It’s just one more thing to add to the long list of to-do’s. But, exercise can make you feel great. It will release endorphins, also known as the ‘happy gas’, when you need cheering up. It’ll give you an excuse to have some ‘me time’ out of the house and away from the kids. And, the better shape you’re in, the healthier you’ll be. You’ll also have the energy to take on all of your chores each day.
Eat and Drink
If you’re running around after young ones, it can be difficult to find the time to stop and eat. You’re so concerned with providing their every need that you forget about your own. Do your best to find time to stop and eat a decent meal and drink water throughout the day. You’ll get your fuel from the meals you eat, so it’s important to top up every now and then. If you can’t find the time every day, prepare some meals that you can freeze or just grab out of the fridge when you do have time.
Ask for Help
It’s not easy having to do every job in the world. There will be times when you’re not at your best and will need help. Whether it’s your partner picking the kids up from school or going out to eat instead of cooking. Boost Your Immune System
There are lots of things you can do to boost your immune system. These things include a balanced diet, increasing your vitamin C doses and having sex regularly. The latter may surprise you, but people who are sexually active tend to have higher levels of immunoglobulin protein in their systems. The higher your immune response, the less likely you are of getting ill.
